WAF Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions to protect client web applications from evolving threats. You’ll work with both on-premise and cloud-based technologies, support clients with technical expertise, and help optimize security configurations for performance and resilience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deploy, configure, and maintain WAF solutions.
• Work with load balancers and application delivery platforms.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide client consultations.
• Optimize WAF configurations based on emerging web application threats.
• Propose and implement effective web application security measures.
• Support both on-premises and cloud-based environments (e.g., Cloudflare, F5 XC).

WE NEED:

• Experience with WAF, load balancer, or ADM solutions (especially F5) is a strong advantage.
• Good understanding of web protocols and common application-layer threats (e.g., OWASP Top 10, SQLi, XSS, CSRF).
• Ability to detect and mitigate malicious activity targeting web applications.
• Familiarity with application security assessment practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting or programming (e.g., Python), and working with JSON/YAML formats is beneficial.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) and version control (Git) is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and Lithuanian.
